I can eat whole wheat!

The boyz and I have been working on developing unique, yummy, low-fat (don't tell them that!) wholesome treats for them to enjoy with their pals. We've been at a couple of farmer's markets a week selling our wares and have selected our most popular goodies to offer for web sales.

Everything here is shelf-stable (doesn't need to be refrigerated unless noted) and made with the highest-quality, human-grade ingredients. All of our meat/dairy/eggs are antibiotic- and growth-hormone free. All of our dry ingredients are organic or as close to it as possible. We of course use no salt, no sugar, and nothing else harmful to your dog.

We are proud to offer a handful of treats that are wheat-free and some entirely grain-free. Having a puggy with a sensitivity to grain I know how important it is to keep developing more along this route. Please find all of our wheat-free and grain-free treats on our unleaded page.

Most of this stuff tastes good to humans too - so make sure to order enough for you and your pup to share!

All orders go USPS Priority Mail. If any items are heat-sensitive we'll advise below in the descriptions so that folks in Arizona don't order in the middle of the summer. Enjoy!

You should receive an order confirmation within 24 hours of placing your order. If you do not, please contact us IMMEDIATELY so we can remedy. Please do not wait several weeks without hearing from us - the internet is not perfect and we'd rather solve problems right away so you get your treats in a timely manner. If you are sending gifts to more than one address, just provide us with your address on the order form and when we send the confirmation email you can give us the individual order breakdown.

Tripe is Good for the Soul

Tripe is gross to look at...and frankly, you don't even wanna know what it smells like...but it is an amazing food to add into your dog's diet. Tripe is stomach lining (I know - ick!) and contains tons of nutrients - its great for puppies, dogs that may be under the weather, dogs that are inappetant (the smell that grosses us out really turns them on)...or just any dog that wants something different.

Our Tripe goodies are made from New Zealand lamb tripe - mixed with whole wheat flour, parsley and a bit of carrot and garlic. We think we're going to do these in lamb shapes (waiting for the cookie cutter to arrive, test batches were just boring old bones BOL).

Duckaritas

We wanted to add more novel protein goodness into the mix, so we came up with Duckaritas for dogs that might avoid common proteins like chicken and beef. Delish and delightful to look at, right? I'm a Steak and Potato Kinda Guy

You know, carrot and sweet potato is all well and good...but when it comes right down to it, Vince prefers meat! So we pulled the basics together to satisfy his appetite. Now, I'm veg...but I know lots of folks that enjoy a juicy steak and baked potato heaped with goodies like sour cream, bacon bits, and the like. We start with whole wheat flour, add in potato flour, beef, nonfat plain yogurt, turkey bacon bits and season with a smidge of garlic and parsley. Available soon in cow shapes! I Can Haz Cheezburger

Breakfast Bars

All the best of breakfast, in an easy to travel with oversized biscuit (scored in the middle so you can break them in half with ease). These are a treat, not a complete food, but if you're going away overnight they're an OK substitute for a meal. We combine turkey bacon (no nitrates or other bad stuff of course) with free-range eggs and some cheddar cheese and put in a whole wheat biscuit (jumbo biscuit has a convenient snap in the middle).

Honey I Shrunk the Ginger-Kids!

Got a pooch prone to tummy upset? These yummy treats are a mix of ginger (great for settling the stomach), honey (also common for tummy upset) and soothing vanilla...tasty for anyone, a hit for belly-ache barkers. In a whole wheat base these bite-size buddies are the perfect size for any size mouth.

Candy Cups

Make any day extra special with a set of our Candy Cups (12 pieces). These are an assortment of yogurt + carob, yogurt + peanut butter, and carob + peanut butter. 12 yummies (remember they're for the dog, not you!) in an eco-friendly box make this perfect to give and receive.

NOTE: if Peanut Butter is a no-no in your house because of allergies, just let us know in the comment field and we'll mix up the assortment.

Paws 4 Pretzels

Old-fashioned, hand-rolled pretzels for your pooch! We boil them first to get that chewy outer crust then slowly roast them to get them crunchy inside. These oversized goodies are longer-term treats than a quick cookie. It takes Vince about 1/2 an hour to get thru one of these.

These are whole wheat based, with the fruit/veg/protein added then combined with water and topped with sesame seeds, flax seeds, and/or dried fruit.

I've put another pic of them below so you can see size in comparison to my iPhone. Available in a variety of flavors, including some VEGAN and LO-PROTEIN (Apple & Pumpkin) options.

Pup Party Mix

We've taken our top-selling crunchies and put them together so that you can get a sampling of a lot of goodies at once and so that your pooch gets a handful of goodness with every bit. I Love You - Don'Cheddah Leave Me

These are Norman's favorite treat...and he's very particular. We combine dark rye flour with whole wheat flour and yummy sharp cheddar cheese and voila...Crunchy cheese goodies that are a hit with everybody in the park! Oversized heart shaped biscuits that can be broken up for smaller mouths.

Carrot Cake Crunchers

Another yummy, low-fat treat to tempt the pallette. A whole wheat cookie with tons of fresh carrot, some spice to make it even more appealing, yummy flax seeds to give your pooch some extra EFAs for healthy skin and coat and just a smidge of neufachtel cheese (low-fat cream cheese basically). These are fun carrot-shaped goodies that will work in any size mouth (about 5" long, 1" across at widest spot).

Our biggest treat is a perennial favorite! An oversized monkey (peanut butter + banana cookie) with carob chips for eyes. Yum, eh? The cookies are about 2.5" high and 2" across or so, oversized and crunchy but you can break into small pieces easily for a smaller dog.

sweet potato pups VEGAN + LO-FAT

Another fun, low-fat treat for any dog. We combine sweet potato with a splash of nutmeg and cinnamon. These are an oversized treat (about 2.5" across and 2" high).

We now offer in original size or in a mini-bite for mini-mouths!

Ingredients: whole wheat flour, sweet potato, cinnamon, nutmeg.

pizza treats LOW-PROTEIN

These are Vince's favorite goodie. Imagine an all-natural, whole-wheat, dog-friendly pizza-flavored Cheez-it, that would be our pizza bite! These are a great bite-size treat, crunchy but not too crunchy for dogs with limited tooth action.

Ingredients: whole wheat flour, tomato sauce, parmesean cheese, basil, oregano, garlic.

chicken parm bones

All the goodies of our Parmesan Pizza recipe + chicken + a yummy topping. Topping is a mix of parmesan, sesame seeds, garlic & basil. Bones are also about 2.5" long or you can order these in 'bites' like our Parmesan Pizza Bites.

doggy donuts

These soft donuts are based on one of our cake recipes. A yummy honey-sweeted carob donut that we dip in peanut butter yogurt and coat with fruit-juice sweetened sprinkles. Yup, you'll like these too! Think about Sunday mornings, cup of coffee, reading the paper...sharing a dozen donuts with your pup.

NOTE: THESE TREATS ARE SOFT + MOIST. They must be refrigerated (or you can freeze) to keep them from spoiling if they're not consumed as soon as the postman arrives, also during summer months they will ship un-frosted because of the melt factor.

spiced pumpkins VEGAN + LO-FAT

Our pumpkin treats were designed specifically for our Norman. Norm needed more fiber in his diet and I was trying to find new and exciting things to do with pumpkin. Spiced pumpkins (with a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg) were just the trick - and they love them! These are crunchy but easy to break up into smaller pieces so they last a bit longer than around here. We now offer in original size or in a mini-bite for mini-mouths!

peanut better + pb & jelly bones

"Why call them peanut better bones instead of peanut butter bones?" you ask. Well, 'cuz they taste better and are better for your dog than most PB 'flavored' stuff you'll find out there. Farmer's market customers will be excited we've added our PB&J option as well (fresh blueberries mixed in, so good!). We keep it simple on the ingredients and then dip the end of the cookie in yummy yogurt for a little extra kick! We can dip your bones in carob if you prefer, just put the note in the comments field or send us an email. Bones are about 2.5" long FYI (also available as bite-size bones for small dogs).

chicken soup bones

All the goodies in your mom's chicken soup like fresh chicken, peas, carrots and herbs. Bones are also about 2.5" long or are availabe in mini-size for mini-mouths.

Not that your dog has dog breath, but he/she probably does! These are crunchy bones with homemade chicken stock and a ton of fresh parsley and mint for fresh breath. Bones are also about 2.5" long or are available in min-size for mini-mouths.

bedtime biscuits VEGAN

A little nibble after dinner to give the teeth a good once over and help relax your pooch. These biscuits will not make your dog sleepy like an OTC product, but s/he probably shouldn't drive right after a couple of treats :) We use yummy vanilla (we roast our own pods so no fears of alcohol in extract), dried lavendar and some herbals for relaxation. You may even find your pup smells like that delish fabric softener! Available in regular bone size or minis.

salmon snax

Okay its the 'treats 4 dogs' page - but this treat is equally popular with the kitties! Its straight up, dehydrated wild alaskan salmon. That's it - nothing else. All the yummy taste, all the health benefits of the EFAs. Give in clumps, crush over food, mix it with cream cheese and spread it on your bagel if you like :)
