Going out of town for a day? A week? Longer? Well we were trying to plan a trip recently and couldn't believe the ridiculous rates around Boston to board a dog. And frankly even if I paid through the nose, I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling for any of the places we reviewed - especially when it came to taking care of my seniors Doug-Doug and Vince (especially with Vince's special needs). So we've done fostering and boarding for years for rescues and friends, figured we'd open it up to the rest of the pug world!

Now, we do pugs only (for the most part). If we know you from an event or shop or you're referred to us and you have a dog <25 lbs. we'll consider it (contact us for info/availability). We are happy to care for seniors and special needs pugs without the additional surcharges the boarding places add on (the 'top of the line' Boston spot wanted $4 every time Vince got a pill...that's an extra $50 for a few days to give a food-motivated pug a pill pocket? I call shennanigans).

We offer crate-free boarding in a quiet, residential neighborhood and can do long walks, short walks, or quick breaks in the fenced-in yard...whatever is best for your dog. Your companion will be a part of our family while with us - not stuck in a basement or sitting in a crate with nobody to hang with. Our pugs are well-socialized and very welcoming to everyone that comes in so we don't anticipate any behavioral issues. We do need to meet/interview your dog if we don't already know him/her.

If you'd like your family member to be a part of our family while you're out of town, just send us an email with the details and we'll get back to you ASAP with next steps. Our rates are competitive and our services outstanding, if you've met our pugs you know there's no place better for a pug to visit than Rancho del Vince!
